Ezell Endorsed by National Right to Life

(Pascagoula, Miss.) – Today, Republican Congressional candidate Sheriff Mike Ezell received the endorsement of National Right to Life, the nation's oldest and largest pro-life organization.


"Mike Ezell is a strong advocate for life who will stand up to the Biden-Pelosi abortion agenda," NRLC said in a statement. "National Right to Life is pleased to endorse him in Mississippi's 4th Congressional District."


"I’m honored to have the endorsement of National Right to Life," said Ezell. "As a Christian, father and grandfather, I’ll always stand up to protect life."


Ezell is the Republican nominee for Congress in Mississippi's Fourth Congressional District.


Sheriff Ezell is a Republican who has served as Jackson County Sheriff since 2014 when he was first elected in a special election and re-elected to the position in 2015, and again in 2019 as the first Sheriff in Jackson County to run unopposed. Sheriff Ezell has 40 years of service in law enforcement including working in the Pascagoula Police Department, Chief of Police of Ocean Springs, and Sheriff of Jackson County. 


Ezell graduated from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy and obtained a degree in criminal justice from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was also selected to attend the FBI National Academy and later worked with the FBI on their Safe Streets Task Force. He is an active member of the Jackson County Republican Club and the Mississippi Sheriffs’ Association. He and his wife, Suzette, live in Pascagoula and are active members of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula. They have one daughter, son-in-law, and a granddaughter.

Rep. Ezell: SAVE Act ‘very important to our elections’

Watch video here HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a new voter ID bill, called the SAVE America Act. It would require proof of citizenship when registering to vote or casting ballots in federal elections. The bill now heads to the Senate. Democrats say it will disenfranchise voters, but Republicans, like Mississippi 4th District Republican Representative Mike Ezell, say the legislation is needed. “We have to show ID to get on an airplane, there so many things, if you want to purchase a firearm, you’ve got to show your ID,” Ezell said. “What is the difference in showing your ID for a federal election, not state, a federal election and there’s just absolutely no reason for it. I don’t know, I hope we can get that moved out, it’s very important to our elections.” The vote in the House was 218-213. Ezell visited William Carey University and Southern Miss on Friday.
