(Pascagoula, Miss.) – Republican Congressional candidate Sheriff Mike Ezell has received the endorsement of the NRA, the nation's largest and most prolific Second Amendment organization.
A former competition shooter, Ezell earned an AQ rating from the NRA-PVF—the highest rating available to first-time candidates—indicating his strong support for the Second Amendment and his commitment to protecting civil liberties.
"As an NRA member, I'm proud to have their support for my campaign," Ezell said. "I'll stand up for the right to bear arms and oppose the Biden–Pelosi anti-gun agenda."
The endorsement comes ahead of the upcoming general election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Sheriff Mike Ezell is the Republican nominee for Congress in Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District. Ezell was first elected as Jackson County Sheriff in a 2014 special election and was re-elected in 2015 and 2019. He has more than 40 years of experience as a law enforcement officer.
Sheriff Ezell has a degree in criminal justice from the University of Southern Mississippi and is also a graduate of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy and the FBI National Academy. He and his wife, Suzette, live in Pascagoula and are active members of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula. They have one daughter, son-in-law, and a granddaughter.
